Reciprocity/Licensure By Endorsement:
Currently licensed with 4,000 hours of experience and has never been disciplined by a licensing authority. (All applicants must have at least 4000 hours of experience in licensed practice, have never been disciplined by the licensing authority in their state of licensure.)
Anyone who doesn't meet these requirements must attend a school in Wisconsin and after graduation will get licensed.
Examination Languages:
English, Spanish, and Vietnamese for theory portion; English only for practical but translators are allowed
Licensing/Ownership Restrictions:
Manager’s license required for cosmetology establishment.
CEU Required?
No
Number Of Hours: Not required, however the examining board may impose CEU as part of disciplinary process to ensure competency.
License Renewal: March 31, odd years

Additional Information:
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or its' equivalent. If a high school diploma or its' equivalent is not available than the applicant may take an Ability to Benefit Test.
MMA has been prohibited in one manner or another in this state.
Prohibited can mean:
A law or rule has been passed prohibiting MMA use.
The technician and/or shop will receive a written/verbal warning possibly after a consumer complaint or inspection by state officials.
A fine may be accessed if a violation occurs.
The state abides by the FDA guidelines.
