Acrylic or Natural Nails?

Benefits to each option

Are you debating between keeping your natural nails and getting acrylics for the first time? There are pluses and minuses to both types. However, usually one will be a better choice for a person.

Acrylic nails are much sturdier and may be better for people who have very weak nails. Also, if you bite your nails, it will be a great way to stop. But, they are very high maintenance. Generally, you need to go to the nail salon every two weeks for a fill or a back fill. This can make keeping up your nails quite costly. However, acrylics may tend to look nicer on some people's nails.

Natural nails have more of a tendency to break. You may always be bothered by a new chip or peel in your manicure nearly right after every time you get a manicure. This can be extremely frustrating. But, you can usually last longer in between manicures with natural nails than with acrylics. Also, it is easier to touch up your nails or change the color of your nails at home with natural nails. It may be a better idea to keep your nails natural if you are content with the way your nails look without acrylics.
