Reciprocity/Licensure By Endorsement:
Must have 350 hours of instruction (missing hours may be made up in a Minnesota school) and pass written exam. Reciprocity may be granted to currently licensed applicants who pass the Minnesota Board Exam and who have at least 1800 hours of licensed experience within the last three years.
Must designate a manager who has a cosmetologist or manicurist manager license; manager may not manage more than one salon at a time.

License Renewal: Dec. 31, every 3 years. Licensee must work at least 1,800 hours during each 3-year term or must attend 40 hours refresher courses.)
Is Skin Cutting Allowed?
An applicant must have at least a twelfth grade education or a G.E.D. Electrology is not licensed by the State but may be regulated by the local municipality.
